Senior Tax Specialist – US Expatriate Focus

About the role

We are seeking a senior technical tax advisor to join our Expatriate team. The role involves providing expert guidance on complex U.S. individual and expatriate tax matters, supporting high‑quality tax return delivery, and building technical capability within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior technical advisor for the Expat team, aligned with the US‑advisor scope.
• Conduct client consultations on complex U.S. individual and expatriate tax scenarios.
• Review and deliver low to high‑complexity expat tax returns, including multi‑year and foreign reporting cases.
• Research and resolve complex U.S. tax issues, IRS/state notices, and foreign reporting requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to preparers, reviewers, and advisors on tax positions and documentation.
• Develop training material, lead knowledge sessions, and mentor team members.

Required profile

• EA or CPA certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 + years of U.S. tax experience with deep knowledge of individual, expatriate, and international reporting.
• Strong tax research, client consultation, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax discussions, quality reviews, and technical escalations independently.
