Senior Quality Officer – Foundry Steel Shots Manufacturing

About the role

A Senior Officer Quality (Quality Assurance or Quality Control) will manage product standards, oversee testing protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GMP, ISO and SHEQ for a steel foundry producing steel shots.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in‑process goods and finished products as per defined standards.
• Maintain Quality Management Systems, handle ISO/GMP documentation and assist in planning and executing internal or supplier audits.
• Ensure plant measuring equipment, laboratory reagents and gauges are properly maintained, calibrated and tracked.
• Investigate root causes for quality deviations, write and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and troubleshoot shop‑floor issues.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain and management teams to meet delivery schedules and quality targets.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis, Batch Manufacturing Records, Standard Operating Procedures and quality reports.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within steel/metal manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO standards and quality methodologies such as SPC, MSA or 8D.
