Senior Project Manager – Medical Devices

About the role

ZEISS Vision Care is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead medical‑device projects from concept through market launch. You will translate business objectives into detailed plans, coordinate cross‑functional resources, and ensure delivery against time, cost, and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop baseline project plans with milestones and maintain them in collaboration with functional leads.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels to align direction, priorities, and delivery schedules.
• Own execution of assigned projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and drive proactive risk‑management across teams.
• Track project spend, manage purchase orders and invoices, and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project‑management processes and standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Recognised project‑management certification (IPMA, PMI or comparable).
• Several years of international hardware project management experience, preferably in healthcare or optical industries.
• Proven track record of launching medical‑device or eye‑health products.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and work with global, cross‑functional teams.
