Senior Indirect Tax Analyst – Brazil & Europe

About the role

Amazon's Tax Engine team is looking for a senior indirect tax specialist to join the Global Tax Calculation Services group in Barcelona. You will focus on Brazil’s complex indirect‑tax landscape and European VAT product and services taxability, supporting end‑to‑end tax calculation solutions for global transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth tax research and classification for Brazil and EU VAT.
• Own cross‑functional tax projects and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with local business partners and tax department members to provide guidance on global product classification.
• Communicate tax implications clearly to product teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Brazilian indirect tax or EU VAT, preferably from a Big 4 advisory firm, law firm, or multinational tax department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Law, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
