Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Ontrac Solutions is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a critical customer engagement. You will work remotely, extending and maintaining a complex codebase that spans React front‑ends, Node.js and Go back‑ends, and both PostgreSQL and MongoDB data stores.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance full‑stack features using React, Node.js and Go.
• Create and optimise database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Implement authentication, role‑based access control and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with program managers, engagement leads and customer stakeholders to deliver features from definition to production.
• Analyse existing functionality, refactor legacy components and safely decommission code without regressions.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests and maintain test coverage.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience delivering production‑grade software in Go, React and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Hands‑on experience with authentication/authorization standards such as OAuth/OIDC, JWT, RBAC, Keycloak or Auth0.
• Track record of refactoring or retiring legacy systems safely.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, contract‑based environment.
