Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Costing & Plant Finance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Costing Professional to join our finance team in Agra. The role involves independent ownership of product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation, working closely with plant operations and reporting directly to the Director.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update product costing models, complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) and item‑wise cost sheets.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly standard versus actual costs and analyse material, labour and overhead variances.
• Manage and optimise costing modules within the ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, plant‑wise profitability analysis and present actionable MIS to senior management.
• Oversee inventory valuation, monthly stock verification and material reconciliation.
• Assist in annual plant budgeting, raw‑material cost estimates and financial forecasting.
• Identify waste‑reduction and raw‑material optimisation opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Support cost audit activities and ensure compliance with cost accounting standards.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of core costing experience in transformer manufacturing, heavy engineering or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, standard costing and overhead allocation.
• Ability to translate complex production data into clear financial metrics for senior leadership.
• Confident communication skills for presenting reports to directors and coordinating with plant engineers.

Required skills

• Advanced ERP costing modules (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel.
