Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines and accurate daily reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits, providing acknowledgements.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposits, maintaining system entries.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedule and update registers.
• Maintain inward/outward, petty cash, and assets registers; prepare requisition forms for the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare End‑of‑Day branch report and ensure vault cash handling with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, explain products, cross‑sell, and guide them to alternative channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, banking regulations and internal policies.
• Validate customer identity during withdrawals and verify deposit slips for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate cash reconciliation.
• Good communication skills for customer interaction and grievance escalation.
• Knowledge of banking procedures and cash handling regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with branch staff and maintain vault security.
• Commitment to service quality and adherence to defined turnaround times.
