Senior Engineer – Fire Safety Officer (HSE)

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Fire Safety Officer is responsible for making critical decisions during emergency situations, ensuring safe rescue of people and minimising property damage at Bosch facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fire safety management plans, design emergency frameworks, issue guidelines and periodically review procedures.
• Supervise regular fire safety inspections, verify that all fire and life‑safety systems are effective, efficient and ready for use.
• Provide fire‑safety training to employees, contractors and facility staff, and organise fire‑drill and evacuation exercises.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on fire‑safety compliance and support during external emergencies.
• Ensure plant processes comply with statutory requirements and Bosch fire‑emergency guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; diploma in industrial safety or fire‑fighting (desired).
• Authorized licence to drive ambulance and fire vehicles.
• 5‑6 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in HSE functions.
• Experience driving emergency vehicles and handling emergency situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating emergency vehicles.
• Expertise in emergency planning and disaster‑management techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of fire‑load calculation.
• Strong liaison, team‑building and communication abilities.
