Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Process Planner

About the role

The Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Process Planner will translate strategy, customer and regulatory requirements into technical inputs that shape a high‑performance manufacturing value stream. The role focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring product quality and driving operational excellence across Bosch's production sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and continuously develop manufacturing capacity, including space, equipment, testing and handling resources.
• Monitor internal and external requirements, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and lead projects to advance the value stream toward future‑state efficiency.
• Establish and document process releases, control plans, work instructions and SPC methods to guarantee defect‑free products.
• Prepare budget estimates for personnel, tooling, services and project costs, and track expenditures against targets.
• Identify risks, develop contingency plans and implement preventive measures to protect delivery and product quality.
• Lead problem‑solving activities, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of process planning experience in the automotive component manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, IE techniques and statutory regulations.
• Familiarity with project management, MES/i4.0 solutions and data‑analytics tools.

Required skills

• AIAG core tools – PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions, Engineering Change Management.
• Statistical process control (SPC), MSA, Shainin, 8‑D problem‑solving methods.
• MES, i4.0 solutions, Power BI, Tableau for data visualization.
• CNC programming, Vision programming, Python scripting.
• Basic PLC programming, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
• Agile methodology and project management techniques.
