Senior Commercial Strategy Consultant – Semiconductor & AI

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Commercial Strategy Consultant to work with global clients in the semiconductor and AI space. You will lead transformational projects that shape market entry, growth strategies, and investment decisions for a rapidly evolving sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM) and analyse industry trends, regulatory landscape, competitive benchmarking, and emerging technologies.
• Develop commercial strategies aligned with AI and compute demand, including GTM, pricing, and channel models.
• Build robust financial models covering revenue projections, cost structures, profitability, IRR and NPV; prepare investment cases for fabs, packaging units and AI infrastructure.
• Design market entry frameworks for India and global markets, evaluating policy incentives (PLI schemes) and location strategy.
• Map the semiconductor value chain, perform AI infrastructure stack analysis, and identify value pools and margin drivers.
• Identify and evaluate strategic partners, support alliance structuring and JV strategy, and create ecosystem maps for AI‑semiconductor convergence.
• Engage with CXO‑level stakeholders, deliver high‑impact reports, executive presentations and dashboards.

Required profile

• BE/BTEC degree plus MBA from a Tier‑1 institution (MBA mandatory).
• 6–8 years of experience in consulting or industry roles related to semiconductors, AI infrastructure, data centres or cloud.
• Strong understanding of AI‑infra trends, semiconductor markets and relevant regulatory compliance (e.g., RoHS, REACH).
• Excellent communication, storytelling and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
