Senior Business Analyst - Capital Markets

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join Delta Capita’s Capital Markets and Managed Services product team, supporting the Report Hub platform. The role bridges product leadership and engineering, translating business needs into clear specifications and ensuring successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for client‑driven initiatives, ensuring clarity and alignment with objectives.
• Create and maintain detailed user stories, business context, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Act as the client‑facing representative for requirements gathering, managing expectations throughout delivery.
• Support development teams during refinement, provide clarification, and follow work through implementation.
• Execute functional testing to validate solutions against agreed requirements before client handover.
• Document business processes and workflows to clarify current and target operating models.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience in software or product delivery environments.
• Proven client‑facing experience, especially in regulatory reporting for financial services (e.g., ESMA, FCA, MiFIR).
• Hands‑on experience in agile delivery, supporting requirements from definition through testing and release.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Jira for writing high‑quality requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Understanding of relational database concepts, REST APIs, and JSON data structures.
• Experience with process modelling and documenting workflows.
• Ability to perform functional testing and business validation.
