Senior Associate – Immigration Law (U.S. & Canada)

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Immigration team, supporting U.S. and Canadian immigration projects for global clients. You will work closely with cross‑border teams, preparing and managing immigration cases while leveraging EY’s technology and resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the U.S. and Canada immigration teams in preparing visa and permanent‑resident cases.
• Learn and apply legal requirements for each work‑visa and permanent‑resident category.
• Draft complex immigration petition packages, using case facts to build a compelling narrative.
• Revise drafts, ensure accurate filing in virtual workspaces, and maintain organized documentation.
• Leverage technology tools to improve efficiency of the immigration group.
• Liaise regularly with support teams across EY’s international network.
• Report progress to senior staff, track project metrics such as utilization and efficiency, and take ownership of assigned work.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent).
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Professional proficiency in English with strong grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Capability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong interpersonal communication skills.
