Senior Applied Value Engineer – Enterprise AI (NAM)

About the role

As a Senior Applied Value Engineer (EAM) you will work with Celonis' most strategic customers, translating their AI strategies and business challenges into innovative Process Intelligence solutions. You will prototype, demonstrate value to executives, and ensure successful adoption and ROI of AI‑enabled processes.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customers' AI strategy, define problem‑solution fit, and translate requirements into Process Intelligence solutions.
• Lead hackathons and rapid prototyping using cutting‑edge AI technologies to solve business‑critical problems.
• Drive agentic process transformation, enabling autonomous AI agents powered by Celonis PI.
• Execute end‑to‑end Proof‑of‑Value projects, delivering secure, scalable LLM/agent systems with RAG, tools, and guardrails.
• Stay engaged with projects until agreed value and adoption thresholds are reached.
• Specialize in domains or industries (e.g., supply chain) to scale knowledge across the organization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of technical pre‑sales experience, defining AI roadmaps, building ROI/TCO cases, and prototyping ML and generative AI solutions.
• Domain experience in Energy, Oil & Gas is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of generative AI techniques such as RAG, few‑shot learning, prompt engineering, multi‑agent orchestration, multimodal understanding, and fine‑tuning.
• Ability to translate high‑level business needs into concrete AI use cases across sectors like supply chain or finance.
• Excellent presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders, including executives.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• ML libraries: LangChain, pandas, pydantic, scikit‑learn, PyTorch.
• Data engineering tools and technologies.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, RAG, function calling, and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with LLM ecosystem tools such as LlamaIndex.
• Deploying and monitoring models at scale on cloud platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, GCP Vertex).
