Senior Accountant

About the role

Samasta Foods Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Jaipur manufacturing plant. The role is responsible for accurate accounting entries, invoicing, reconciliations, statutory compliance and timely month‑end close, supporting both organic and value‑added food product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions in the ERP system with precision.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, debit/credit notes and journal entries.
• Perform vendor, customer, inter‑company and bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Stores and Logistics to match invoices, GRNs and dispatch documents.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, supporting payment runs against approved terms.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS, TCS and other statutory returns.
• Assist month‑end and year‑end closing, including provisions, accruals and reporting.
• Maintain audit‑ready records and respond to internal, statutory and bank audit queries.
• Support inventory reconciliation, manufacturing cost accounting and export‑related accounting such as duty drawback, RoDTEP and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Handle banking documentation, working‑capital requirements and lender information.

Required profile

• B.Com/M.Com or equivalent; CA Inter, CMA Inter or similar qualification preferred.
• 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.
• Strong knowledge of Indian statutory regulations (GST, TDS, TCS) and audit processes.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with procurement, stores and logistics teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, TCS compliance.
• Experience in inventory and cost accounting.
• Familiarity with export accounting, duty drawback and foreign‑currency transactions.
