Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting

About the role

Pebl is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Controllership team in Bengaluru. This hybrid role supports US‑hour month‑end close activities, drives process improvements, and leverages AI tools to modernize accounting workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end and quarter‑end close tasks, including journal entries, OPEX accruals, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Perform flux/variance analysis and communicate material movements to finance leadership.
• Partner with FP&A, Payroll, Benefits, Immigration, and Legal to resolve operational accounting challenges.
• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to automate manual work, document processes, and accelerate the close.
• Support the annual external audit by managing PBC items for assigned GL areas.

Required profile

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; active CA/CPA or candidate preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry exposure.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accrual accounting, and multi‑entity environments.
• Advanced Excel skills for large data sets, pivot tables, and complex formulas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NetSuite or equivalent ERP system.
• Experience with FloQast and Zip (preferred).
• Hands‑on use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for accounting workflows.
