Senior Accountant – Accounting & Bookkeeping

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate bookkeeping and support financial reporting. The role involves handling invoices, payments, payroll assistance and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, record journal, purchase, sales and expense entries.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, verify billing documents and coordinate with vendors and clients.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, track vendor payments and customer outstanding balances.
• Perform regular bank, cash and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly payroll, GST, TDS and other statutory compliance tasks.
• Prepare trial balances, expense statements, basic MIS reports and support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and bookkeeping procedures.
• Experience with journal entries, debit/credit accounting and ledger maintenance.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and good documentation habits.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally accounting software.
• Working knowledge of GST and TDS regulations.
• Experience with invoicing and reconciliation processes.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with general accounting software.
