Sales Manager – Rigids PU Performance Materials

About the role
The Sales Manager for Rigids PU – Performance Materials will lead sales and marketing activities across a defined zone in India, driving revenue, margins and market share for BASF's construction solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute sales strategies to meet volume, pricing, margin and cost targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with specifiers, architects, consultants and designers in key organisations such as RDSO, EIL, HPCL and ONGC.
- Generate sales potential through specification selling and by converting competitor specifications.
- Coordinate the full sales process, interface with internal functions, and monitor local DSO and DIV.
- Provide accurate forecasts and collaborate with supply chain management to optimise stock levels.
- Organise technical seminars and represent BASF at exhibitions, technical days and trade platforms.
Required profile
- B.Tech degree.
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in construction or performance‑materials markets.
- Proven ability to build long‑term business relationships and manage key accounts, especially in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong understanding of construction‑related problems and system solutions.
- Experience in market intelligence, specification development and pricing implementation.
