Retail Auditor – Food Safety (Level I)

About the role

We are seeking a Retail Auditor (Level I) to lead food safety audits across retail and manufacturing facilities. The role combines technical audit work with commercial insight, ensuring our clients meet the highest standards of food safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheme‑specific food safety audits for retail and manufacturing sites.
• Supervise operations of additional certification schemes and systems.
• Travel to inspection sites and organise annual inspection itineraries.
• Develop and update client‑specific food safety manuals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of food safety regulations and legislation.
• Liaise with client management on audit findings and recommend policy improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and provide technical training on in‑house food safety programs.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, or Microbiology.
• 3–4 years of experience conducting food safety audits or related regulatory work.
