Senior Program Operations Associate

About the role

Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) seeks a well‑organized Senior Program Operations Associate to coordinate grant and program operations across an assigned portfolio in New Delhi. The role ensures compliance, operational efficiency, and high‑quality delivery throughout the grant lifecycle while working closely with program, finance, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate operational inputs for proposal development, due diligence, legal review and submission requirements.
• Manage grant implementation activities, monitor performance, risks and milestones, and ensure timely reporting and invoicing.
• Oversee consultant onboarding, contract execution and compliance for contractors, sub‑grantees and vendors.
• Set up and administer projects in SPP, Intacct and Fluxx, maintain data integrity and prepare portfolio dashboards.
• Serve as India point of contact for systems implementation, driving adoption and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or Social Sciences with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Professional background in financial services, consulting, international non‑profit, government or multilateral institutions.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial/operational systems such as Netsuite, SharePoint, SPP, Intacct and Fluxx.
• Project management and data‑management capabilities.
