Relay Testing Engineer (HT/LT Panels)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Relay Testing Engineer to join Hartek’s manufacturing and testing team in Derabassi. The role focuses on testing, inspection and commissioning readiness of high‑voltage (up to 33 kV) and low‑voltage (up to 800 V) panels, ensuring compliance with protection schemes and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive electrical tests on HT and LT panels, including continuity, insulation resistance, high‑voltage, control‑circuit, interlocking, functional and relay tests.
• Configure and operate Omicron and other relay testing equipment for secondary injection and protection‑scheme verification.
• Verify wiring, components and panel functionality against approved drawings and specifications.
• Inspect materials, enclosures and assemblies to meet defined quality requirements.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve testing‑related issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare test reports, inspection records and checklists in accordance with IS, IEC and ANSI standards.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality and Project teams to close observations before dispatch.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests, customer inspections and third‑party witness testing.
• Maintain calibration and upkeep of testing instruments and stay updated on protection‑system technologies.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in electrical testing, relay testing or panel commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of electrical protection systems, relays and control circuits.
• Familiarity with IS, IEC and ANSI standards and safety procedures.
