About the role

Mastercard’s Global Regulatory Team is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to support its Commercial and New Payments Flows business. The role focuses on ensuring compliance for innovative payment solutions that extend beyond traditional point‑of‑sale transactions, covering both domestic and cross‑border commercial payments.

Key responsibilities

• Act as regulatory counsel for Commercial and New Payments Flows in assigned APAC markets, advising on regulations for commercial and business payments, card‑based and non‑card‑based transfers, both domestic and cross‑border.
• Develop and execute regulatory strategy and support product development to ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with global and regional regulatory and product counsel on license applications, supervisory matters, compliance examinations and control systems.
• Monitor regulatory developments, assess impact, and communicate changes to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Legal qualification with experience in payments, commercial, or financial services regulation.
• Strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on fast‑paced, innovative projects across multiple jurisdictions.
