Corporate Legal Associate

About the role

At Collective Artists Network, the legal function sits at the heart of every deal that shapes the business. We are looking for a hands‑on, commercially‑oriented Corporate Legal Associate with 3‑5 years of post‑qualification experience and strong exposure to M&A, equity transactions, investments and joint ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Drive corporate transactions end‑to‑end, from structuring and due diligence to documentation, negotiation, execution and closure.
• Draft, review and negotiate SPAs, SSAs, SHAs, JV agreements, term sheets, NDAs and other M&A/investment documentation.
• Lead equity investments, acquisitions, M&A, JVs and strategic partnerships, including coordination with external vendors.
• Partner with business leaders, founders, finance teams and external counsel to translate commercial objectives into effective legal structures.
• Lead and coordinate legal due diligence, identify risks and recommend practical mitigations.
• Advise on Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, secretarial work for the group and post‑closing compliance activities.
• Strengthen legal processes, templates and risk‑management frameworks while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Required profile

• Qualified LLB professional with 3‑5 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Hands‑on experience in M&A, equity transactions, investments, JVs or strategic transactions, ideally handling 3‑4 deals end‑to‑end.
• Strong understanding of SHA, SPA, SSA, JV agreements and term sheets.
• Solid corporate law fundamentals, commercial acumen and problem‑solving ability.
• Mature, level‑headed, curious and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Drafting and negotiating SPAs, SSAs, SHAs, JV agreements, term sheets and NDAs.
• Conducting legal due diligence and risk assessment.
• Advising on Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI and related regulatory frameworks.
• Managing equity investments, acquisitions, M&A and JV structures.
• Coordinating with business leaders, finance teams and external counsel.
• Overseeing regulatory compliance and corporate secretarial duties.
