R&D Senior Member of Technical Staff

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an experienced DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join its R&D team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, automating, and supporting scalable cloud and on‑premises platforms that enable reliable software delivery for industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product, and architecture teams to enhance developer platforms and support critical business applications.
• Design, implement, and maintain solutions that improve system availability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in the deployment, administration, and support of cloud (Azure/AWS) and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Develop, document, and enforce DevOps processes, standards, and operational procedures.
• Automate the lifecycle of Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments across hybrid platforms.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment, release, and environment issues to minimize disruptions.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and automation capabilities to boost developer productivity.
• Create monitoring, logging, tracing, and self‑healing solutions to improve system reliability.
• Support incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong understanding of software development, systems administration, and operational support practices.
