Software Engineer – Data Platform

About the role

This is a software engineering role focused on building production‑grade data platform components. You will design and operate services, APIs, and data pipelines in a CI/CD‑driven environment. The position is not notebook‑driven or analytics‑focused.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable, fault‑tolerant data ingestion pipelines from sources such as SAP, Salesforce, SharePoint, APIs and legacy manufacturing platforms.
• Develop reusable, version‑controlled platform components, APIs and data interfaces following best practices (CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring).
• Establish and operate data quality management, monitoring and reporting frameworks across pipelines.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure secure and sustainable delivery.
• Maintain a web‑accessible data catalog with backend services, metadata management and Unity Catalog integration.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of software development experience with inbound/outbound data exchange interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with Scala/Java, Python, advanced SQL and Git in CI/CD environments.
• Experience building robust ingestion pipelines and ETL jobs on Azure or other hyperscalers.
