IT Consultant – Purchasing Applications

About the role

The IT Consultant for Purchasing Applications will support and lead IT implementation projects within the purchasing function of Continental's ContiTech division. You will drive digital transformation initiatives, ensure high‑quality delivery, and act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Support IT implementation projects in the purchasing area.
• Lead workstreams and smaller projects in the purchasing IT domain.
• Plan, execute and deliver projects/work packages while maintaining scope, budget and schedule.
• Develop communication plans and keep stakeholders informed about issues, risks and status.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards and corporate rules.
• Provide professional consulting and functional/technical design expertise.
• Collaborate with globally distributed, multicultural teams and external development partners.
• Support the design of digital transformation for purchasing processes.
• Own IT services related to purchasing applications.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Economics or equivalent.
• Several years of experience with SAP and/or non‑SAP applications.
• Proven experience in IT project delivery.
• In‑depth knowledge of procure‑to‑pay processes.
• Consulting experience with SAP SRM, MM, S/4 Central Procurement and Jaggaer (or similar platforms) is a plus.
• Experience in IT Project Management and IT Service Management is appreciated.
• Business‑fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong motivation, reliability and a customer‑service orientation.
