R&D Member of Technical Staff – Product Test

About the role

As an R&D Member of Technical Staff – Product Test at AVEVA, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test suites that verify the functionality, reliability and performance of the AVEVA Unified Engineering (E3D Design) product. You will work in a hybrid environment alongside developers, testers and product engineers, contributing to a high‑quality software delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts for desktop and web components of the E3D Design application.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews, creating test cases that ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Support and enhance the existing test automation framework under guidance of senior team members.
• Identify, log and track software defects, collaborating with developers to verify fixes.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to align testing activities with project timelines and quality goals.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in software testing or test automation within a collaborative project environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test case design and defect management.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while contributing to team objectives.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C# and Python for test script development.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks for desktop or web applications.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
