Quantity Surveyor – MEP

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor – MEP will lead quantity surveying activities for mechanical, electrical and plumbing works on building and infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing BOQs, cost estimates, tender documents and managing commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP works.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from drawings, specifications and design documents.
• Develop cost estimates, budgets, rate analysis and cost plans for MEP packages.
• Review tender documents, technical specifications and contractor quotations, and assist in tender evaluation.
• Monitor project costs, variations and changes in scope, and evaluate interim payment applications.
• Coordinate with project managers, design consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying for building, commercial, residential or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Experience working with project management consultants or multidisciplinary engineering consultancies is preferred.
