Quality Management System Manager

About the role

Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) is seeking a Quality Management System (QMS) Manager to lead and enhance its quality processes across operations. Reporting to senior management, the role partners with business unit leaders to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and secure relevant certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance of the QMS department and ensure services meet internal and external requirements.
• Plan, conduct, and follow‑up on internal and external audits, managing corrective actions and re‑audits.
• Maintain AISATS data archives and convert audit data into actionable statistics for senior management.
• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan, minimizing operational disruptions.
• Support business unit heads in applying the Quality Policy, Quality Manual and measurable targets aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
• Monitor, measure, and analyze QMS effectiveness, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead a team responsible for delivering quality data and information across the organization.
• Coordinate with senior management and external agencies to acquire and maintain certifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management, audit planning and implementation within an operational environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and certification processes.
• Ability to interpret audit findings and translate them into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership, staff and external bodies.
• Leadership capability to manage and develop a team of quality professionals.
