Head of Quality Assurance

About the role

The Head of Quality Assurance will lead the QA and QC teams in a metal manufacturing environment focused on copper and copper‑alloy flat‑rolled products. This senior position is responsible for defining the quality vision, strategy and ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop QA/QC teams, drive a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee implementation, maintenance and auditing of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO/IATF standards.
• Monitor process parameters for copper and copper‑alloy foils/coils, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage supplier quality, conduct audits, and interface with customers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in metal manufacturing, preferably non‑ferrous flat‑rolled products.
• Proven track record leading quality assurance teams and implementing robust QMS.
• Hands‑on experience with metallurgical processes for flat‑rolled copper and copper‑alloy products.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Required skills

• ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 compliance and audit experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• IATF Core Tools for process and quality improvement.
• Metallurgical process knowledge for copper and copper‑alloy flat‑rolled products.
• Root‑cause analysis (RCA) and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) implementation.
• Quality Management System (QMS) design, implementation and continual improvement.
• Establishment and monitoring of quality KPIs.
