Program Associate, Technology Innovation, Digital Health AI & MedTech

About the role

PATH is seeking a Program Associate to drive technology innovation for digital health, AI, and MedTech across South Asia. The role will support the design, implementation, and scaling of novel health technologies in alignment with PATH’s strategic priorities and government programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct continuous technical research to identify emerging healthcare innovations worldwide that can be applied in South Asia.
• Assist the MedTech innovations team in designing and supporting the rollout of new technologies aligned with PATH projects and government initiatives.
• Support state‑level, national, and regional demonstrations and implementations of technology‑intensive projects.
• Gather and analyse evidence from field visits to inform projects, policy recommendations, and advocacy efforts.
• Monitor project progress through regular interactions with state teams, field visits, and online platforms.
• Provide recommendations to donors, innovators, governments, and other stakeholders on emerging technologies.
• Identify, assess, and facilitate the uptake of health technologies in line with project and policy requirements.
• Commission high‑quality assessments of healthcare technologies and innovations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the vertical’s activities.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Engineering (preferably biomedical), Life Sciences (Microbiology, Biotechnology) or Public Health.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health, healthcare services, industry, incubators, manufacturing, or related fields, preferably with government or global health organizations.
• Experience engaging with donors, international and national governments, and non‑profit partners is desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 30% of the time.
