Program Officer – Health AI & Digital Health

About the role

PATH is seeking a Program Officer to support the IndiaAI Mission’s health‑AI initiatives. The role will be embedded in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in New Delhi, acting as a bridge between government, health institutions and the AI ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic support to identify, prioritize and develop high‑impact health AI use cases.
• Conduct due‑diligence, assessment and pilot coordination for AI solutions, startups and technology partners.
• Facilitate integration of AI applications with existing government digital platforms and health information systems.
• Engage with central ministries, state governments, health‑sector stakeholders and the broader AI ecosystem to build partnerships and drive collaborations.
• Develop briefing notes, concept notes, reports and other knowledge products for senior officials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health or related health discipline; postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Health Informatics, Digital Health, AI or Data Science is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in digital health, health technology implementation, AI‑enabled healthcare solutions or health informatics.
• Demonstrated experience in deploying, validating or scaling digital health or AI solutions in real‑world or public‑sector settings.
