Consultant – Digital Health & AI

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Digital Health and AI to provide strategic and technical advisory support for digital health, health‑system technology, interoperability, data governance and AI‑enabled solutions. The consultant will work closely with government stakeholders, development partners, technology providers and internal teams to design, implement and scale digital health initiatives in India.

Key responsibilities

• Develop state and national digital health strategies, roadmaps and costed implementation plans.
• Provide technical advisory on interoperable, standards‑based digital health architectures and API integration.
• Assess and guide the responsible application of AI and emerging technologies in health systems.
• Support end‑to‑end implementation of digital health programmes, from design to government hand‑over.
• Engage with ministries, state health departments and senior officials to align on digital health investments.
• Produce technical reports, strategy documents, proposals and implementation frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualification desirable.
• 15+ years of professional experience in digital health, health information systems or large‑scale government technology programmes.
• Proven experience working with central or state governments in India on digital health initiatives.
• Strong background in digital health architecture, interoperability, data governance and technology implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing high‑quality technical and strategic documents.
