Process Engineer

About the role

The Process Engineer will support process engineering and technology transfer activities for batch processes in India. You will create engineering packages for development and scale‑up, and continuously work with production teams to improve plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for process engineering research in India, linking with global expert teams and operating divisions.
• Develop lab‑scale process strategies and define scale‑up pathways for batch operations such as distillation, filtration, crystallization and drying.
• Prepare comprehensive process packages for technology transfer to contract manufacturing partners.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting, optimization and cost‑reduction support during and after tech transfer.
• Evaluate and qualify new contract manufacturing partners for various applications.
• Generate technical concepts including mass balances, PFDs, simulations, engineering calculations and equipment design.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑5 years of experience in process engineering, batch processes, technology transfer or scale‑up.
• Proactive, self‑motivated communicator with ability to handle multi‑interface communication.
• Fluent English for work; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Modeling of distillation units, heat exchangers, filters and crystallizers.
• Mass‑balance calculations and process flow diagram (PFD) creation.
• Engineering calculations and equipment design.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
