Pega Senior System Architect

About the role

As a Pega Senior System Architect in the Digital Sales Experience domain, you will design, develop and support enterprise‑scale Pega applications for a leading banking group. The role focuses on platform engineering, integrations, security and operational excellence, with involvement in the Pega Customer Decision Hub for outbound communications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications on the Pega Platform, including Activities, Data Transforms, Data Pages, Report Definitions, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors and Data Flows.
• Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SMTP for email, SMPP for SMS, event streams and file‑based interfaces.
• Configure and maintain secure access controls, authentication, authorization, roles and privileges.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement solutions to improve platform stability and performance.
• Support outbound communications (email and SMS) within the Pega Decision Hub ecosystem, including templates and schedules.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects and engineering teams in an Agile environment, participating in testing, releases and continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of hands‑on experience delivering solutions on the Pega Platform.
• Strong expertise in Pega application development, platform engineering and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven experience with REST, email, SMS, event and file‑based integrations.
• Solid understanding of authentication, authorization and application security principles.
• Experience supporting production environments, performance tuning and issue resolution.
• Exposure to Pega Cloud deployment processes and Pega Customer Decision Hub.
