Java Technical Lead/Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to drive the technical development of a Platform Modernization Project for a leading investment bank. This critical role will guide the digital transformation of the bank's technology platform, focusing on cloud‑native architecture and microservices.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical standards and best practices for backend development using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and related technologies.
• Lead code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure quality, maintainability and performance.
• Deliver technical components on schedule while managing technical risks and providing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with product, QA, operations and infrastructure teams.
• Promote CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies across the project.

Required profile

• 12+ years of software development experience with Java.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or architect role.
• Experience in platform modernization or migration projects within financial services or banking.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices.
• Collections, low‑latency programming, multithreading and concurrency.
• Containerization (Kubernetes, Podman).
• CI/CD pipeline creation and DevOps practices.
• Azure cloud platform.
