General Manager Architecture – Data, Analytics & AI

About the role

The General Manager Architecture – Data, Analytics & AI will lead architecture outcomes across data, analytics and AI for ANZ’s technology division in Bengaluru. Reporting to the Chief Data, Analytics and AI Officer, the role shapes strategy, governance and workforce planning to support enterprise transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive architecture strategy, target states, roadmaps and outcomes for the Data, Analytics & AI portfolio.
• Provide oversight of capability evolution, ensuring Lead Architects govern platforms, products and services.
• Act as primary architecture decision authority for major initiatives and investments.
• Deploy architecture resources to meet demand, resolve capacity constraints and support delivery commitments.
• Develop a high‑performing architecture team through capability development and succession planning.
• Collaborate with peer architecture leaders to ensure cross‑domain alignment and enterprise coherence.

Required profile

• 20+ years of engineering or data experience with 5‑10 years leading architecture teams in large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, analytics platforms, AI enablement and data governance.
• Proven people‑leadership, workforce planning and capability development skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with senior technology and business leaders.
