Next.js Developer

About the role

JIITAK is seeking a motivated Next.js Developer to join its sustainable software studio. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to build high‑performance, scalable web applications that align with the company’s eco‑conscious values.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using Next.js and React.js.
• Create reusable, responsive UI components and translate UI/UX designs into functional interfaces.
• Integrate REST APIs and third‑party services into the frontend.
• Implement Next.js features such as Server‑Side Rendering, Static Site Generation, and API routes where appropriate.
• Ensure performance, SEO, accessibility, and cross‑browser/device compatibility.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and project managers using Git version‑control workflows.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Next.js and React.js.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and component‑based architecture.
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and communicate effectively within a team.
