Associate Engineer – Manual Testing

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Engineer specialized in Manual Testing to join our development team in Kochi. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross‑functional teams, understand business requirements, and ensure the quality of software applications through hands‑on testing.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and acceptance criteria to design effective test scenarios.
• Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases covering functional, UI, regression, and smoke testing.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Prepare and manage test data required for test execution.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and raise quality concerns.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Support release activities and keep test documentation up to date.
• Contribute ideas to improve testing processes and overall efficiency.

Required profile

• Graduation degree (any discipline).
• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in manual software testing.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
