MES Consultant – C#/.NET & SQL Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced MES Consultant to join AVEVA’s Bangalore team. The role involves designing, developing and delivering Manufacturing Execution System solutions that integrate with shop‑floor equipment and enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C#/.NET applications and RESTful Web APIs for MES platforms.
• Create and optimise SQL Server queries, stored procedures and database schemas.
• Build responsive front‑end components using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Integrate MES solutions with external systems such as SAP, PLCs and SCADA.
• Participate in requirements gathering, system design reviews and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to capture MES requirements.
• Document technical designs and maintain best‑practice coding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with C#.NET and Web API development.
• Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server, T‑SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Solid experience in JavaScript front‑end development.
• Familiarity with MES concepts and exposure to systems such as AVEVA/Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens Opcenter.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, shop‑floor integration and industrial data protocols (OPC, PLC communication) is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
