Mechanical Maintenance Officer

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant utilities and equipment at Bunge’s facility in Krishnapatnam. You will perform both planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support safe plant restart when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance on utilities such as air compressors, nitrogen plant, water chillers, ammonia chillers, pumps, valves and rotary equipment.
• Inspect packaging machines, JBM, and other critical plant assets to verify proper functioning.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures, leakage issues, and provide quick corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety‑environment‑health (SHE) guidelines during all maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, handover documentation and work permits.
• Train and guide junior staff on SHE practices and maintenance best‑practices.

Required profile

• ITI/Fitter, MMCP, Turner or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4‑6 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong understanding of plant safety and global SHE requirements.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency situations.

• Preventive and corrective maintenance techniques.
