Mechanical Maintenance Level II – Manufacturing

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance – Level II position ensures that manufacturing equipment remains reliable, available, and efficient. Working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems, the incumbent performs maintenance activities with limited supervision and supports continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to HSE policies, report hazards, and use PPE at all times.
• Perform routine, preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines, especially Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs).
• Service mechanical components such as ball screws, spindles, bearings, guideways, fixtures, pumps, motors, lubrication and coolant systems.
• Support associated equipment including gantry systems, honing machines, washing and leak‑testing equipment, vision and gauging systems, material handling equipment, and overhead cranes.
• Document maintenance activities, spare‑part usage, and generate MIS reports.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement teams, develop SOPs, and participate in Kaizen, TPM, and energy‑saving initiatives.
• Train and mentor less‑experienced maintenance personnel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Familiarity with CNC machine maintenance, especially HMCs.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Capability to train and support junior maintenance staff.
