Managing Consultant, Account Management

About the role

Mastercard Services is seeking a Managing Consultant for Account Management to support the growth of its Acquiring & Processing business across Asia Pacific. The role combines subject‑matter expertise, client engagement, and industry knowledge to identify opportunities and help commercialise Mastercard Services capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject‑matter expert on acquiring, payment acceptance, processing, merchant acquiring and payment infrastructure trends.
• Support regional Business Development and Account Management teams to identify, qualify and advance acquiring & processing opportunities.
• Develop client growth plans, business cases and solution recommendations aligned with client priorities.
• Engage with clients to understand challenges, document opportunities and articulate the value of Mastercard Services.
• Prepare proposal content, commercial inputs and client presentations for regional teams.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across acquiring banks, processors, fintechs, merchants and ecosystem participants.
• Collaborate with internal Consulting, Product, Customer Solutions Center and regional market teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments and emerging technologies.
• Support pipeline tracking, opportunity documentation and reporting for the regional Services team.
• Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge‑sharing within the Acquiring & Processing practice.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in acquiring, payment processing, merchant payments, acceptance, fintech or payments consulting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of merchant acquiring, payment processing, acceptance ecosystems and related areas.
• Prior experience supporting account management, solutioning, consulting, product management or partnership coordination.
• Strong client‑facing communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and translate complex concepts into clear business value.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and structured thinking capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Professional level English proficiency.
