Manager – Tech Capability (Digital)

About the role

The Manager – Tech Capability (Digital) will lead delivery of the group’s digital commerce applications, overseeing sprint and Program Increment execution from planning through release. This role ensures realistic commitments, manages risks and dependencies, and drives release readiness across the digital release cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery for digital commerce capability within the Omnichannel domain, managing the squad delivering these capabilities for the group's brands.
• Deliver committed sprint and PI scope with predictable velocity, ensuring quality and no unplanned slippage.
• Improve release readiness and stability, reducing production defects and resolution time.
• Produce and maintain sprint and PI plans in Confluence, documenting objectives, scope, capacity, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Provide status updates and man‑day estimates for billing consolidation.
• Manage delivery demand against squad capacity and coordinate dependencies across squads.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, track RAID items to closure, and coordinate release readiness, cutover, and handover with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Remove impediments for the squad and escalate risks, dependencies, and scope changes to the Head of Digital.

Required profile

• 6 to 9 years of experience in digital commerce platforms, leading an agile delivery squad.
• Experience delivering on SFCC, Shopify or Shopify Plus.
• Proven ability to run sprint and PI planning, manage squad capacity, and track risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Experience coordinating release readiness, cutover, and handover with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for planning, documentation, and reporting.
• Certification in agile delivery (Scrum Master or SAFe) is a plus.
• Retail or e‑commerce domain experience preferred.
