Machine Technician – Pune

About the role

The Machine Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. The role ensures that machines run according to Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) while meeting safety, quality and efficiency targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machines and follow standard operating procedures to achieve planned output.
• Perform shutdown, startup and change‑over activities within defined time frames.
• Clear jams, clean equipment, and dispose of defective product or raw material.
• Troubleshoot equipment at an operational level and promptly escalate issues beyond the area of expertise.
• Maintain safety, food‑safety, GMP and hygiene standards; raise and close near‑miss incidents.
• Document activities, record waste, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and OPLs.
• Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and ensure accurate capture of CP0 module data.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of food‑manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Willingness to work in a shift environment and support area associates.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and waste reduction.

Required skills

• Machine operation and shutdown/startup procedures.
• Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO) safety practices.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food‑safety compliance.
• Kaizen continuous‑improvement methodology.
