Legal Litigation Specialist – Fintech

About the role

Scapia is seeking an experienced legal professional to lead its litigation and dispute resolution function. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to manage legal disputes, regulatory communications, and commercial matters, ensuring the company’s legal risk is effectively mitigated.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end litigation across consumer, civil, criminal, and commercial forums.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Draft, review, and file legal notices, complaints, affidavits, petitions, appeals, and related documents.
• Monitor ongoing cases and provide timely updates to business units.
• Coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Respond to regulatory notices, summons, and complaints; liaise with government authorities and law‑enforcement agencies.
• Provide practical legal advice on disputes, contracts, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct legal research on emerging regulations and judicial precedents; prepare opinions and risk assessments.
• Maintain litigation trackers, legal MIS, and dispute management records.

Required profile

• LL.B. from a reputable institution.
• 7–9 years of post‑qualification experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and legal advisory.
• Proven experience in fintech, banking, payments, technology, or e‑commerce sectors.
• Strong ability to engage with external counsel, regulators, and law‑enforcement agencies.
