Lead Business Analyst - Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst with strong technical and analytical skills to shape our next‑generation manufacturing data platform. The role bridges aviation operations, engineering, data science and software development teams, ensuring that business needs are translated into robust technical specifications and thorough testing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from aviation operations, engineering and product stakeholders.
• Map and analyse complex datasets from the Airbus Skywise platform to support downstream Java micro‑services.
• Write clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria (BDD/Gherkin) and functional specifications.
• Prioritise and maintain the product backlog in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Design and execute test plans, scenarios and end‑to‑end test cases for data workflows and UI interactions.
• Perform API and integration testing of Java RESTful micro‑services using tools such as Postman, SoapUI or ReadyAPI.
• Conduct functional, exploratory and regression testing of React‑based web interfaces.
• Manage defect lifecycle in tools like Agility or ServiceNow, collaborating closely with developers.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis or functional testing.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with aerospace or manufacturing data ecosystems, preferably Airbus Skywise or Palantir Foundry.
• Ability to read JSON payloads, logs and inspect browser elements.
