Kitchen Steward – Full‑time at Italian Restaurant

About the role

The Kitchen Steward is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Bengaluru. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and organization throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas to support smooth restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment while adhering to sanitation standards.
• Organise ingredients, keep workstations tidy and assist cooks as needed.
• Perform waste segregation, proper disposal and routine cleaning of floors, surfaces and storage areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen appliances and storage containers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and waste management procedures.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and reliability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow food safety, hygiene and waste management procedures.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
• Understanding of customer satisfaction to support high service standards.
