Junior UI/UX Developer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, React Native)

About the role

BIZ Nest is looking for a motivated front-end developer who combines design with programming. The role turns UI/UX designs into code for websites and web tools, working closely with the UI/UX designer to define how the site looks and works. It covers the full range of web design and development tasks, from visual design and graphics to front-end development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and fast, scalable pages.
• Create custom template themes and plugins, and customize and extend existing ones.
• Create consistent user interfaces and graphics, and help build design systems, style guides and UI components aligned with brand guidelines.
• Work with UX designers on design requirements and user flows, and with senior UI engineers and backend developers to integrate UI components with backend systems.
• Conduct code reviews, usability testing and debugging, and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and tools, and take part in team meetings, brainstorming sessions and design reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in UI development with a strong portfolio.
• Good experience with UI libraries such as Bootstrap and Material-UI.
• Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects; good project management and troubleshooting skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and jQuery.
• CSS preprocessors such as Sass or LESS.
• Front-end frameworks and libraries such as React and React Native are a plus.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
