Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

About the role

LSEG is looking for an experienced technical and people leader to join its Risk Intelligence Site Reliability Engineering team as Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The role owns the reliability and performance of shared services platforms supporting authentication, APIs, data intelligence and data warehouses, and leads a high-performing SRE team toward high availability, scalability, security and compliance. It combines hands-on technical leadership with end-to-end ownership of reliability, incident management and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own 24x7 reliability of Shared Services platforms (Risk Intelligence Hub, Hyper Gateway, Lakehouse), defining and improving SLIs, SLOs and error budgets
• Lead major incidents as Incident Commander, run blameless post-incident reviews and drive automation across incident response, deployment, monitoring and compliance
• Embed reliability, scalability, security and observability early in the SDLC with product and platform engineering, and co-own the cloud reliability roadmap
• Ensure DR, BCP and resilience patterns are implemented, tested and audit-ready
• Lead, mentor and manage the SRE team, including performance management, succession planning and hiring support in Bangalore
• Represent the Bangalore site in global SRE forums, govern vendor and partner engagements, and lead BCP/DR exercises

Required profile

• 10+ years in production operations, SRE or DevOps, including 3+ years in a people management role
• Proven experience running cloud-native services on AWS at scale
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and IaC (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Experience with observability and incident management platforms (Datadog, BigPanda, OpenTelemetry)
• Nice to have: Snowflake reliability and performance tuning, financial services background, ITIL/ISO 27001 familiarity, major incident frameworks, cloud cost optimization
