Junior Plant Controller – Operations Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Plant Controller to join our Operations Finance team at the new Chakan 2.0 factory. You will work on‑site, partnering closely with production and operations to own the financial performance of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the monthly factory P&L, tracking fixed vs variable costs and flagging margin risks.
• Capture, compute and monitor the plant hourly rate, analyse variances and present trends to leadership.
• Own and report core plant KPIs such as efficiency, productivity, earned hours and conversion cost per hour.
• Track productivity‑savings initiatives, maintain a project‑wise savings tracker and coordinate validation with operations and CI teams.
• Analyse PDSL forecast versus actuals and identify gaps.
• Review and monitor rate contracts for labour, maintenance, logistics and consumables, supporting procurement negotiations.
• Maintain monthly headcount versus requirement reports, analyse manpower cost per unit and flag staffing imbalances.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and prepare plant‑level MIS and flash reports with bridge analysis.
• Execute day‑to‑day plant accounting transactions in Oracle ERP, including journal vouchers, cost uploads and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in manufacturing finance or plant accounting.
• Qualified CMA (ICMAI) or equivalent professional certification.
• Strong understanding of factory P&L, cost structures and KPI reporting.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced production environment.

• Oracle ERP for plant accounting and reporting.
